A: I really need to lose some weight, I think I'm going to go on a diet.
我真的需要減肥了,我想我該節食。

B: I think a little exercise would do you.good. Why don't you join a fitness center?
我覺得少量的運動會對你有好處,你爲什麼不參加一個健身俱樂部呢?

A: What's wrong with going on a diet? If I don't eat much for a few weeks . I should be able to lose a few pounds.
節食減肥有什麼不好,只要有幾個星期少吃一點,就能夠減掉好幾磅體重。

B: Combining exercise with a healthy diet is the most effective way to lose weight, but if you have to choose between exercise and diet, exercise is the better choice.
健康飲食再結合運動對減肥效果更好。但是如果你非要在運動和節食中間選一樣的話,那還是運動比較好。

A: I hate working out, besides, I don't want to get too muscular.
我不喜歡賣力氣,而且我也不想變得很有肌肉。

B: If you do low-impact aerobics, Pilates or Yoga, you can tone up without building up too many muscles.
只要你做一些低強度的有氧運動,像普拉提或者瑜伽,你就可以健美身形,而且還不會長很多肌肉。

A: I do like Yoga. Do they have any Yoga classes at your gym?
我確實很喜歡瑜伽,你健身的俱樂部裏有瑜伽班嗎?

B: I'm not sure, but I can look for you. If you join a gym, you can use the pool and take any of the classes you want for free.

A: I didn't know they had a swimming pool at your gym. Do you think swimming would help me lose weight?

B: Sure it would. It's an excellent form of exercise.

A: Do you think I'd still have to go on a diet to lose weight?

B: I'm not an expert, so I can't tell you. But the trainers at the gym will be able to advise you on your diet and can help you come up with a fitness plan.
我可不是專家,所以說了不算。但是俱樂部你的教練可以針對你的飲食給你提一些建議,並且可以幫你制定一套健身計劃。

A: That's exactly what I need! Thanks for your help.
