一、聽力
商務英語的聽力可以"詭異"二字來形容，是不少學習者的"心病"，這也是BEC聽力的特別之處。
首先大家要從Multiple Choice、Gap-fill、Multiple Matching、Note-taking四大題型入手，詳細分析了各部分的得分點和失分點。通過telephone message、service booking、voice mail等幾段通用的練習，要注意一下幾點，如：name spelt out一定要正確;數字填寫，5和five皆可，但如果拼錯成fyve就會被扣分;如果出現需要填寫telephone number，則是每個數字佔一個空格等......在BEC中，除了writing和speaking兩部分，其他一律是機改，所以handwriting相當重要，尤其是聽力部分。基於中國考生的習慣，不得不再次提醒大家，聽力答題卡上的答案一定要一律用大寫，否則機改是檢測不到的;還有在Gap-fill部分，寫的答案必須控制在3個單詞之內，否則會自動生成錯誤。
有些同學提出該如何複習更爲有效?專業培訓老師認爲BEC聽力中最基礎、最重要的是word，所以建議同學把vocabulary部分加強，a good range of vocabulary對應考會很用幫助。如：聽力中出現了loan，則可以判斷出說話人有可能是bank manager。如果說聽力要有技巧的話，那麼，這就是技巧!可以加快你解題的速度，提高你答題的正確率。
二、口語
首先給考官留下深刻的第一印象非常關鍵。這個可以從進門和兩位考官打招呼做起，聲音洪亮熱情，體現良好的精神面貌。
另外，應當充分準備口試的第一部分，第一部分前面的問題對於所有考生都不會有什麼變化，無非是personal information，非常容易落入千篇一律的介紹方式，My name is... I work for...等等，建議嘗試變化句型的做法，而且這個部分完全可以提前準備，所以要確保你的答案邏輯清晰，用詞準確且流利。這樣才能拿足印象分，讓考官眼前一亮。
例如：1.Q：What make you think you would be a success in this position?(你如何知道你能勝任這份工作?) A：My graduate school training combined with my internship should qualify me for this particular job. I am sure I will be successful. (我在研究所的訓練，加上實習工作，使我適合這份工作。我相信我能成功。)
2.Q：Are you a multi-tasked individual?(你是一位可以同時承擔數項工作的人嗎?) or Do you work well under stress or pressure?(你能承受工作上的壓力嗎?) A：Yes, I think so. A：The trait is needed in my current(or previous) position and I know I can handle it well. (這種特點就是我目前(先前)工作所需要的，我知道我能應付自如。) 3.Q：What provide you with a sense of accomplishment. (什麼會讓你有成就感?) A：Doing my best job for your company. (爲貴公司竭力效勞。) A：Finishing a project to the best of my ability. (盡我所能，完成一個項目。) 4.Q：If you had a lot of money to donate, where would you donate it to?Why?(假如你有很多錢可以捐贈，你會捐給什麼單位?爲什麼?) A：I would donate it to the medical research because I want to do something to help others. (我會捐給醫藥研究，因爲我要爲他人做點事。) A：I prefer to donate it to NGO. (我樂意捐給NGO。)
三、閱讀
BEC中級閱讀共五種題型：搭配題、句子填空題、閱讀理解題、完形填空題、改錯題，時間爲60分鐘，第一部分是四個短文，其他部分各有一篇較長的正文，均摘選自報紙、商業雜誌、商務信件、圖書、廣告、及商品手冊等，都與日常工作相關。用以測試考生各種閱讀技能。
1.搭配題
重在考查考生尋找語篇大意和具體信息的能力。
技巧：先快速閱讀七個句子，找出每句關鍵詞。七個句子一般要比四個文本要簡單，更容易理解，所以建議先讀懂七個句子。
仔細閱讀四個文本，看有無和七個句子中關鍵詞意思一直的詞。切記文本中出現的多是同義或近義的表達，很少出現和前面七個句子中完全一樣的單詞。如果發現有一樣的表達，請謹慎選擇，因爲很可能是迷惑考生的。 切記：長得像得有可能是答案，長得一樣的多數情況不是答案。
例如，句子中“utlise its current expertise”和文本中“exploit existing skills”相對應。句子中“Move into a more promising market”和文本中“enter a different market”相對應。
每個文本至少使用一次。
2. 句子填空題
重在考查考生語篇整體意義的理解能力，以及根據語篇邏輯關係有條理地對內容進行組織銜接的能力。
技巧：瞻前顧後，把空前後的句子都看一遍，特別要注意上下文中的連接詞、指示詞和代詞。看在語義和邏輯上是否吻合。
最後沒有填上的空，建議採用試錯法，一個一個句子的試，憑自己的語感猜測答案。
3. 閱讀理解題
重在考查考生尋找語篇大意和具體信息的能力。
這是我們中國學生最擅長的題，從中學到大學我們都練過，相信你們都已掌握了祕訣，這裏不在贅述。
4. 完形填空題
重在考查近義詞辯析，搭配，慣用法等。
技巧：首句一般都不留空，所以一定要仔細看首句，首句對了解文章主題和大意有幫助。
瞻前顧後，把空前後都看一遍，從詞義辯析，詞語搭配，上下文語境，習慣用法等方面入手，選擇答案。有時所需填空單詞還會在後面出現。
複覈全文，對答案進行進一步覈查。
5. 改錯題
主要考查考生語法能力，包括時態、語態、虛擬語氣，一致，非謂語動詞用法，從句，限定詞，代詞，介詞等。

30題，apply to 在這裏是申請的意思：to make a formal request, usually written, for something such as a job, a place in a university, or permission to do something。看一個例句：I applied to four universities and was accepted by all of them.這個句子的意思是他不喜歡每次申請新的借款人時都要填相同的表格。
31題，這裏填入invite，使用的是一個不太常用的意思：to politely ask someone to do something。禮貌的邀請某人做某事。整個句子的意思是邀請借款者填寫一個標準的表格，然後表格在債主那裏流通。
