一、一致性問題
1.主謂一致
1)What are your favourite sport?(’97) is這是對疑問句主謂一致的考查。
2) Play football not only makes us grow up tall…(’98)Playing動詞原形加-ing構成動名詞形式，與謂語動詞makes一致。
3)Now my picture and the prize is hanging in the library.(2000)are主語爲複數概念“我的照片和獎牌”。
2.時態一致
1)It was very kind of them to meet me at the railway station and drove1 me to their home.
(’96)drive 連詞and連接的是兩個並列的動作meet和drive。
2)They offered me coffee and other drinks. We have a good time talking and laughing.
(’96)had 整篇文章記述過去發生的事情，用的是過去時。
3)Hello，I learn about you from my English teacher，…(’97)learned 從教師那兒知道，是過去發生的行爲，故須用過去時。
4)My favourite sport is football.I was a member of our school football team.(’98)am整篇文章描述現在的情況，用的是一般現在時。此句也應改爲一般現在時。
5)…not only makes us…but also give us a sense2 of fair play…(’98)gives“not only…”連接的應是兩個相等的成份，用第三人稱單數。
6)I am happy with any programme3 but the others spent a lot of time arguing…(’99)was此句描述的是過去的事情，且下句也是用的過去時，故要改爲was。
7)I remembered her words and calm down.(2000)calmed 連詞and連接兩個相等的成份。
3.名詞的單複數一致
1)…and asked me lots of question.(’96)questions “question”爲可數名詞，用在lots of後面，應加-s。
2)We study quite a few subject，such as maths，…(’97)subjects A few後面應跟可數名詞的複數形式。
3)…and often watch football match on TV…(’98)matches 經常觀看足球賽，足球賽應爲複數形式。
4)She said that she and my schoolmate4 all wished me success，…(2000)schoolmates 此處同學爲複數概念，應加上-s。
4.代詞的性、數一致
1)The Smiths did his best to make me feel…(’96)their 主語The Smiths用以指代一家人或夫婦倆，後面的代詞應該用their。
2)And they must not break the rules too often if we want to win the games.(’98)we 全文談論的都是“我們”的事，此處也應一致。
3)Some wanted to see the programme while others preferred another.(’99)one 此句考查表示三者以上的代詞搭配one…another。
4)The day before the speech contest English teacher…(2000)my 可數名詞前通常要加修飾語。此句雖然有English，但指代不明。根據上下文，加上my比較貼切。
5.語意一致
She was smiling but nodding5 at me.(2000)and 微笑和點頭在語意上是並列的關係。
二、詞義的重疊
y I visited the Smiths———my first time visit to…(’96)這一題是考查英漢不同的表達習慣。漢語的“第一次訪問”，英語說my first visit即可，time是多餘的。
t，let me tell you something more about myself.(’97)因爲是頭一次交朋友，以前並不瞭解，無所謂“更多”。more明顯是多餘的。
I can’t watch much television but a few years ago I used6 to watch it every night…and there was no way of settling7 the matter except by selling the set.(’99)此題難度較大。它在語義上出現重疊，但答案一直到短文最後一句纔出現。電視機既已賣掉，就不可能再看了，更不可能看“很多”。故要去掉much。
ever I see them I often think of my English teacher.(2000)此題易受漢語的影響，造成語意上的重疊。“每當我看見它們，我總會想起我的英語教師。”但英語中whenever之後一般不用often。
三、邏輯關係
I live in Beijing，where is the capital of China.(’97)which 考查定語從句中關係代詞與關係副詞的用法。此處where應改爲which，因爲它在定語從句中作主語。
