基本概況

The University of International Business and Economics(UIBE)，situated in Chaoyang District of China's capital Beijing，was founded in 1951 as the Beijing Institute of Foreign Trade. In 1960 it was designated as a“key university" by the government for ifs outstanding programs. In May 1997 UIBE was put on the list of“Project 211”universities. In 2000，UIBE had become one of the state universities under the leadership of the Ministry of Education，and in same year it merged with China Institute of Finance and has since then June of the become one of the leaders in the studies of business and finance.

對外經濟貿易大學坐落於首都北京朝陽區，創建於1951年，前身是北京外貿學院。1960年以其專業特色被國家列爲重點大學。1997年五月成爲首批被列人國家高等 教育“211工程”重點建設的高校，2000年轉爲教育部直 屬，同年6月，原中國金融學院與原對外經濟貿易大學 合併成立新的對外經濟貿易大學，成爲經貿類領先高校之一。

UIBE consists of over 14 academic schools，2 direct departments apart from postgraduate department and physical education department. It has 25 undergraduate programs，14 doctoral programs，39 master programs，2 post doctorate stations，2 state key disciplines and 1 state research base of social sciences. Among the over 30 bachelor，master and doctoral programs that UIBE offers，International Trade，International Economic Law，English Language and International Business Management have been designated as key programs under“Project 211”

對外經濟貿易大學設有14個學院和2個直屬系，設有研究生部和體育部，共有25個本科專業、14個博士點、39個碩士點、兩個博士後流動站兩個國家級重點學科和一個國家級人文社科研究基地。在30多個學位授予權裏，國際貿易、國際經濟法、英語語言、國際商業管理等四個均爲國家“211工程”列爲的重點學科。

At present，UIBE has a total enrollment of more than 10000 students，including 6300 fulltime undergraduates，3 100 doctorate candidates and master candidates and over 800 overseas students for their has 1500 teaching and administrative staff members，and more than 700 of them are fulltime teachers. In addition，the university invites dozens of foreign academic professionals to teach or lecture every year.

對外經濟貿易大學現有各類學生一萬餘人，其中在校普通全日制本科生6300餘人，研究生3100餘人，外國來華留學學歷生800餘人。對外經濟貿易大學現有教職工1500多人，其中專任教師700多人，學校每年還聘請一定數量的外國專家前來授課或講學。

In December 1989，UIBE became the first university in China that had a Board of Trustees composed of members from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation，Bank of ChinaPeople's Insurance Company of China，Hong Kong Chamber of Commerceetc. i.i Lanqing，the former Vice-Premier of the State Council，took the chair for its first session，and Wu Yi，Vice-Premier of the State red the Board for its second session

對外經濟貿易大學於1989年1月在國內率先成立了由原對外貿易經濟合作部、中國銀行、中國人民保險公司、香港中華總商會等成員組成的校董會。國務院前副總理李嵐清任首屆校董會主席，現任校董會主席是中共中央政治局委員、國務院副總理吳儀同志。

China's opening-up has provided UIBE with greafi motivafiion and chances. In the past few decades. UIBE has been proud of the performance of its graduates many of them now playing active roles in promoting business and economic cooperation between China and other countries.

歷史變遷

1951 Beijing Institute of Foreign Trade the predecessor of the University of International Business and Economics was founded under the administration of the precedessor Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.

1951年對外經濟貿易大學的前身北京外貿學院創建，爲原對外貿易經濟合作部屬。

2000 The former Financial Institute of China and University of International Business and Economics merged to form the new the University of International Business and Economics under the administration of the Ministry of Education.

2000年原中國金融學院與原對外經濟貿易大學合併成立新的對外經濟貿易大學，轉爲教育部直屬。
