BBC News –Pope Francis isvisiting a detention camp on the Greek island of Lesbos to show support forrefugees who are trying to reach northern Europe.

Pope Francis met a group of young boys whohad made the dangerous journey alone. As he toured the camp, TV pictures showedone woman kneeling at his feet, delivering an emotional appeal.

Greece's ERT state television reported thatPope Francis had offered to take 10 refugees back to Italy with him. Vaticanspokesman Rev Federico Lombardi said he could not comment.
