中國反擊軍方參與黑客攻擊指控

China has hit back at allegations that its army was behind a recent hacking attack on a US-based internet domain registry, dismissing the accusations as “groundless” and insisting it is a victim rather than perpetrator in the recent global surge in cyber warfare.

中國反擊了對其軍隊曾參與實施對一家美國互聯網域名註冊機構的黑客攻擊的指控，稱這一指控“毫無依據”，並堅稱中國是近年來愈演愈烈的全球網絡戰的受害者，而不是作惡者。

“The accusations of the Chinese army’s participation in cyber attacks are nothing new, and they are completely groundless,” the defence ministry said on Friday in a statement to the Financial Times.

“對於中國軍隊參與網絡攻擊的指控由來已久，它們毫無依據，”中國國防部週五在發給英國《金融時報》的一份聲明中表示。

The response follows revelations that the US Federal Bureau of Investigation is examining possible Chinese military involvement in a cyber attack on , a subsidiary of , which manages more than 1.4m website addresses for businesses worldwide.

在中國做出迴應之前，有消息披露稱，美國聯邦調查局(FBI)正在調查中國軍方是否參與了網站遭遇黑客攻擊事件。是的子公司，管理着全球範圍內逾140萬家公司的網址。

Hackers, who appear to have stolen network and employee passwords, had accessed ’s network for about a year, according to people familiar with the probe, details of which were published in the FT this week. But the breach is not known to have caused disruptions or resulted in any theft of client data.

That has bolstered investigators’ belief that the hackers are state-sponsored rather than criminals trying to exploit the hack for commercial gain. Some current and former law enforcement officials said the attempt to infiltrate the system could be aimed at obtaining the ability to undermine or manipulate large parts of internet infrastructure.

US security officials say they believe the PLA is behind many of the state-sponsored hacking attempts uncovered in the US. In October last year James Comey, FBI director, compared Chinese hackers to “drunk burglars”.
