A FOX one day fell into a deep well and could find no means of escape. A Goat, overcome with thirst, came to the same well, and seeing the Fox, inquired if the water was good. Concealing his sad plight under a merry guise, the Fox indulged in a lavish praise of the water, saying it was excellent beyond measure, and encouraging him to descend. The Goat, mindful only of his thirst, thoughtlessly jumped down, but just as he drank, the Fox informed him of the difficulty they were both in and suggested a scheme for their common escape. "If," said he, "you will place your forefeet upon the wall and bend your head, I will run up your back and escape, and will help you out afterwards." The Goat readily assented and the Fox leaped upon his back. Steadying himself with the Goat's horns, he safely reached the mouth of the well and made off as fast as he could. When the Goat upbraided him for breaking his promise, he turned around and cried out, "You foolish old fellow! If you had as many brains in your head as you have hairs in your beard, you would never have gone down before you had inspected the way up, nor have exposed yourself to dangers from which you had no means of escape."
一隻狐狸失足掉到了井裏，不論他如何掙扎仍沒法爬上去，只好呆在那裏。公山羊覺得口渴極了，來到這井邊，看見狐狸在井下，便問他井水好不好喝?狐狸覺得機會來了，心中暗喜，馬上鎮靜下來，極力讚美井水好喝，說這水是天下第一泉，清甜爽口，並勸山羊趕快下來，與他痛飲。一心只想喝水信以爲真的山羊，便不假思索地跳了下去，當他咕咚咕咚痛飲完後，就不得不與狐狸一起共商上井的辦法。狐狸早有準備，他狡猾地說：“我倒有一個方法。你用前腳扒在井牆上，再把角豎直了，我從你後背跳上井去，再拉你上來，我們就都得救了。”公山羊同意了他的提議，狐狸踩着他的後腳，跳到他背上，然後再從角上用力一跳，跳出了井口。狐狸上去以後，準備獨自逃離。公山羊指責狐狸不信守諾言。狐狸回過頭對公山羊說：“喂，朋友，你的頭腦如果像你的鬍鬚那樣完美，你就不至於在沒看清出口之前就盲目地跳下去。”
這故事說明，聰明的人應當事先考慮清楚事情的結果，然後纔去做。

“No ,”said the Sun quietly ,“I’am stronger than you .I can melt ice and snow .I make the trees blossom and the flowers bloom. ”
A man came walking along ,wearing a big coat .
“Look at that man ,”said the North Wind .“I can blow off his coat can’t do that .”
The North Wind blew hard at the man man’s coat blew open. The North Wind blew with more force man said “I’am cold ” did up his coat and turned up his collar North Wind howled and blew harder still man was nearly blown off the coat put his hands deep into the pockets of his coat and he kept on walking wind could not blow off his coat .
The Sun smiled .
“Now watch me ,”he said .“I’ll show you a better way to take off the man’s coat .”
The Sun came out from behind a cloud shone down on the man man said ,“I’am warm .”He turned down the collar of his coat Sun shone more strongly upon the man man began to feel hot looked up at the sky .
“The sun is shining ,”he said ,“and the wind has gone .I’am hot .I’ll take off my coat .”
He undid his coat and took it off put the coat on his arm and walked away Sun laughed ,but the North Wind howled angrily and rushed away to the hills .

Once she made up her mind to do something, no one could persuade her to change her mind. Finally, we gave in as usual though we preferred to take a train. After we prepared everything, including the schedule, reliable weather forecast and the insurance, we began our trip.
我的妹妹很喜歡旅行。自從畢業以來，她就下定決心要組織一次往一座古廟的旅行。因爲交通費用昂貴，她決定騎自行車去，毫不擔心其中的不利情況。頑固的態度一直都是她的缺點，一旦她下定決心要做的事，就沒有人能說服她改變主意。最後，我們像往常一樣讓步，儘管我們更喜歡乘火車去。我們準備好了所有東西，包括時間表、可靠的天氣預報，還有保險，就開始了旅程。
Our journey was along a river flowing from a high altitude. Our pace was slow because the river frequently had many sharp bends through deep valleys, where the water seemed to boil. Just as I recorded in my journal, it was really a hard journey. But we also enjoyed great views. One night, I put my head on my pillow--a parcel of wool coats, and lay beneath the stars. When the flame in front of our cave went out at midnight, I found the sky so beautiful!
