歷史上就真的有隻老鼠在俄羅斯被判了絞刑，給它判刑正是著名的彼得大帝，而原因竟然是這隻老鼠咬壞了彼得心愛的玩具士兵。

According to a biography by Henri Troyat, Peter the Great loved his toy soldiers so much that he executed a rat (by hanging) which had the temerity to chew the head off of one. He also imposed a tax on beards.

亨利·特羅亞特在傳記中寫道，彼得大帝非常喜歡他的玩具士兵，以至於他曾（用絞刑）把一隻老鼠處死了，因爲這隻老鼠竟敢把一個玩具士兵的頭咬下來。他還對鬍子徵收了賦稅。
