There are a few Chinese restaurants dotted arounddowntown Vientiane, though most of their kitchens churn out half-heartedattempts at decent mainland food.

Of note, though, is the Chinese Liaoning DumplingRestaurant. The chefs here churn out plates of shuǐjiǎo (boiled dumplings) in asteady stream at lunch and dinner. Pork and chives is the best and most popularfilling.
