不只是玩具 樂高助殘疾烏龜自由行走

Blade the tortoiseis no slowcoach anymore, after being fitted with a special lego 'Wheelchair' to help him get around.

在裝備了樂高的特製“輪椅”幫助爬行後，布萊德烏龜不再是個行動遲緩的傢伙了。

The tiny tortoise lost the use of his legs due to a litany of woes, including a growth disorder that caused his limbs to become so weak he couldn't hold himself up.

這隻小烏龜因爲一連串的問題導致了他的腿腳殘疾了，包括成長障礙導致他的四肢變得非常脆弱，幾乎無法把他支撐起來。

Blade's owner Iris Peste, from Germany, took him to the vet after noticing that he was struggling to move around.

這隻烏龜的的主人——來自德國的埃利斯·派斯特，發現小傢伙行動不便後帶他去看了獸醫。

Vet Dr Carsten Plischke then toyed with the idea of making Blade a Lego wheelchair.

卡斯滕·皮里斯克醫生隨後給小傢伙裝了個樂高輪椅幫助其行走。

Borrowing from his son's collection, Mr Plischke fitted two sets of wheels to the underside of Blade's shell so that he could then use his legs to propel him forward.

皮里斯克醫生從兒子那裏借來了樂高的玩具，在龜殼的下面裝了兩組輪子，這樣他就可以藉着“樂高腿”推動前行了。

Thankfully, the solution is not a permanent one as Blade is expected to regain the use of his legs.

Dr Plischke said: 'For people there are walkers, rollators or prostheses but for animals there are no companies that produce something like that'.
