這一對形容詞都有“社交的”意思，但涵義和使用場合不同。
Sociable表示“愛交際的”、“社交性的”和“善交際的”意味。例如：
Mr．Liang is a very sociable person．

This is a sociable house party held by his father．
這是他父親舉辦的家庭懇親會。
Social表示“社會的”、“社會性的”、“有關社會的”意味。如：social problem（社會問題）、social life（社會生活）、social science（社會科學）、social welfare（社會福利）、social morality（社會道德）。例：
