suggest用法
suggest 表示“建議”或“提出(意見、計劃等)”意思時有三種用法：
1. 只能用動名詞作賓語
1)主語也參與提議的動作，如：
He suggested going out for a walk. 他建議出去走走。
2)主語建議他人做某事，如：
He suggested us going out for a walk. 他建議我們出去走走。(此句也可以改爲 He suggested our going out for a walk.這裏的 one doing 或 one's doing 稱做動名詞的複合結構，其中的代詞 one 或 one's 是動名詞的邏輯主語)
由此證明“別班老師說 suggest sb doing sth 固定搭配”是完全正確的。
2. 跟賓語從句，但是從句中必須用 should do 或者省略 should 直接用動詞原形 do，如：
He suggested that we (should) take a walk. 他提議我們去散步。
由此證明“代課老師說 suggest sb do sth，suggest後省略 that ，sb後省略 should”也是正確的。
3. 用名詞作賓語，構成 suggest sth. for sb. to do, 表示建議某事讓某人去做。如：
He suggested a plan for us to draw up 他提出一個計劃讓我們去制定。
由此證明“ suggest sb to do sth 後面的作賓補”是錯誤的說法。
suggest虛擬語氣用法
1. suggest表示提出建議
若suggest表示“建議”，後接從句所表示的內容爲建議要做的事情，也就是說從句所描述的內容尚未成爲事實，此時從句謂語要用虛擬語氣，即謂語採用“should+動詞原形”，其中的should在美國英語中通常被省略。如：
I suggest that we (should) have lunch now. 我建議我們現在吃午飯。
He suggested that she (should) come another day. 他建議她改天再來。
2. suggest表示陳述事實
若賓語從句的內容表示的是已經存在的真實情況，則用陳述語氣，此是suggest的意思是“暗示”“表明”“指出”“提出(看法)”等。如：
His smile suggested that he was satisfied. 他的微笑表明他是滿意的。
I’m not suggesting that the accident was your fault. 我並不是說這個事故是你的錯。
Others suggest that they two will be equals. 其他人認爲他們倆將是勢均力敵。
注意，除suggest外，advise, propose等在表示“建議”時，若後接賓語從句，從句也應使用“should+動詞原形”這樣的虛擬語氣，其中的should在美國英語中通常被省略。如：
He advised that I (should) write her a letter. 他建議我給她寫封信。
The doctor advised that he (should) change his job. 醫生建議他改換工作。
I propose that they should stay here. 我建議他們留在這裏。
