對於小學3年級的學生，在他們已經掌握好了如顏色(colour)、衣服(clothes)、數字(number)、星期(day of the week)、月份(month)、寵物(pet)、情感(feeling)、身體部位(body)、文具(school things)的基礎上進行文章的填空，如果學生能夠按照文章的要求寫進相關的信息，那就已經很不錯了。下面是一個自我介紹的簡單例子：

對於4年級的學生，可以寫一篇介紹自己課室或者自己卧室的文章。下面是一篇4年級學生的介紹課室範文。

My classroom

I am studying at Tongji primary school.I am in Class Two, Grade Four. (介紹自己所在的學校和所在的年級) There is a blackboard in front of the classroom. There are twenty-five desks in our classroom, they are brown. There are many books on the desk. There are fifty students, thirty boys and twenty girls. There is a picture on the wall. There are two fans on the wall. (用there+be句型把班裏和擺設和班上的人數都表達出來了) It is tidy and clean.I like my classroom very much.(最後是作者的總結)

對於5年級的學生，作文的要求也提高了很多，很多學生在介紹別人或者是寫自己喜歡的小動物的時候很容易忘了第三人稱單數動詞要加s，如：He get up at 7 o’clock(get忘了加s)，在用到現在進行的時候動詞很容易忘了加ing(如I am play the piano，play就忘記了加ing)，介詞和介詞短語也佔了很重要的位置如介詞in，on，at，of。介詞短語如dream of(區分dream that)和be afraid of都是很重要的介詞短語，很多學生忘記了介詞後面要加動詞。

寫法：這篇習作是按照郊遊時的畫面來描述的，記敍了同學們分別在郊遊中做了哪些活動及郊遊的感受。

時態：這篇文章可以用一般過去時和現在進行時來寫。由於本單元主要講的是現在進行時，所以，這裏我們採用現在進行時比較合適。

句型： ××. is/are doing sth. She /He is doing sth. They’re doing sth.

注意：活動的相關表述法採用新舊知識相結合去寫。注意時態的轉換、描寫感受時用一般現在時。

對於6年級的學生，作文考查的是英語的綜合應用能力，而且出的題目大部分都是看圖作文，這就在一定程度上增加了寫作的難度，它也是綜合了3年級的分類詞彙，4年級的句型，方位介詞，5年級的重點介詞短語和時態，不過我相信只要平時多點積累單詞和句型、多點動筆、多注意語法上的問題、多看作文書，那麼就能寫出流暢、有深度的文章。

The Spring

There are four seasons in a year. The spring, summer, autumn and winter. I think spring is the most beautiful season.
