1. Keep/have one's finger on the pulse
大家都知道，finger是手指的意思，pulse脉搏，keep/have one's finger on the pulse,这个短语的字面意思是“把手指头放在脉搏上”，莫非是中医把脉么？非也。其实finger on the pulse的意思是“紧跟最新动态”，“消息灵通”，“把握潮流”。
