中國人應該慶祝西方節日嗎？Should Chinese Celebrate Western Festivals?

Today, more and more young people are crazy about western festivals. When western festivals come, they usually go to restaurants or shopping malls to have fun.

如今，越來越多的年輕人都對西方的節日着迷。當西方節日到來的時候，他們常常去餐廳或是商場娛樂。Why do the young enjoy western festivals so much? Since they worship everything new, and they can’t resist the temptation. In their opinions, western festivals symbolize the fashion, while our Chinese traditional festivals are out of date. No wonder we always feel so boring during our traditional holidays. If we still turn a blind eye to our traditional festivals, our culture and civilization will disappear someday. Accordingly, it is high time for us to pay close attention to our Chinese festivals.爲什麼年輕人這麼喜愛西方節日呢？大抵是因爲他們喜愛新鮮事物，抗拒不了誘惑。在他們看來，西方節日代表着時尚，而中國傳統節日則太土了。這也難怪我們也覺得我們的傳統節日太過無聊了。如果我們對傳統節日漠然置之，那麼某天我們的文化文明終會消失。因此，我們該多多關注我們中國自己的節日了。As a Chinese, we have the obligation to protect our culture and custom. So I think we should celebrate our Chinese festivals by doing some traditional activities. As for western festivals, we needn’t to be too excited about them. We can just send our best wishes to our best friends during those festivals.作爲一名中國人，我們有責任保護自己的文化習俗。所以我認爲應當在慶祝中國傳統節日時候舉辦一些傳統活動。而對於西方節日，我們不需要太過激動。在這些節日裏我們應該只需簡單的送上祝福就好。
