Extroverts, with their lower level of arousal, would need to do more exciting things that would physically and mentally exhaust an introvert in order to reach satisfaction. So while an introvert might be content with a leisurely bike ride through a quiet park, an extrovert might need to hit the dirt roads in order to feel mentally satisfied.
外向者他們被激發的基線較低，相對地會需要從事較爲刺激且會讓內向者身心俱疲的活動才能達到滿足。因此內向者或許只要悠閒地在安靜的公園裏騎騎腳踏車就很滿意了，但外向者卻可能需要騎着車在泥濘的土地上奔馳，才能獲得精神上的滿足。
