今天我們主攻“as … as …”的用法，首先介紹它的兩個詞組：
最常用一個詞組：as soon as 一…就…，表示會盡快做某事
As soon as I get to New York, I’ll call you. 我一到達紐約就給你打電話。
As soon as I finish my audition, I’ll see you off at the airport.我一試完試鏡就去機場送你。
Your father will take over everything as soon as he retires.你父親一退休就會把一切都接管過來。
另一個常詞組：as long as ，只要…就…，既然…就…， 表示會盡量長地做某事
As long as you keep on trying, you’ll achieve your goal. 只要你堅持努力，一定會實現你的目標。
I'll stay in Mexico as long as my money holds on. 只要我的錢還能維持一天, 我就在墨西哥待一天。
You may stay here as long as you like. 你高興在這兒待多久就待多久。
現在，我們講解“as … as …”的大衆化用法。我們可以在第一個“as”後面放上一個形容詞或副詞，在第二個“as”後面放上一個比較對象，意思是和這個比較對象一樣…
We’re working as diligent as before. 我們還像以前一樣勤奮工作。
Tom is as lazy as a pig. 湯姆像豬一樣懶。
My colleagues hate my boss as much as they used to do. 我的同事們還像過去那樣恨我的老闆。
Jason doesn’t look as well as his father. 傑森的氣色看上去還沒有他的爸爸好。
