幹細胞療法 stem cell treatment
近些年在中國各大城市，越來越多的醫院和專科診所開始提供幹細胞治療，但幾乎沒有科學證據支持此療法，此療法目前還處在實驗階段。中國衛生部日前要求，停止所有未獲批的幹細胞治療和臨牀研究，政府將對該領域開展規範整頓工作。

幹細胞治療每年會吸引數千名外國患者，中國衛生部將嚴格管理幹細胞治療這一尖端療法，以確保患者安全並使該技術有序發展。
文中的stem cell treatment就是指“幹細胞療法”，stem cell就是指“幹細胞”，是一類具有self-renewing（自我複製能力）的multipotent cells（多潛能細胞）。幹細胞療法就是把健康的幹細胞移植到病人體內，以達到修復病變細胞或重建功能正常的細胞和組織的目的。
在中國，stem cell therapy（幹細胞療法）主要用於治療diabetes（糖尿病）、spinal cord injury（脊髓損傷）、cerebral palsy（大腦性麻痹）、brian injury（大腦損傷）以及stroke（腦中風）。
然而，至今爲止，只有用從bone marrow（骨髓）和umbilical cords（臍帶）中提取的成人幹細胞來治療blood cancer（血癌）被證明是有效且安全的。世界衛生組織稱，將stem cell treatment（幹細胞療法）應用於治療人類疾病還需要更多科學數據證明其安全性和有效性。
