掌握地道外語不可不知的俚語大綱
第一句:That's more like it 這還差不多
英解:that's better than before , an improvement
說話者用這句話來表示,和先前的情況相較,對方的表現或態度現在總算比較可以讓人接受,就如同我們中文所講的"這還差不多".

A:好吧,我會打掃廚房並且清洗盤子.
B:這還差不多.
第二句：stick around 待着
英解：stay at location , not leave
“stick”原可當粘住或固定住的意思。但是在這句片語中，“stick”可以解釋爲“停留”，“stickaround”這整句片語中就是指在某個地方停留徘徊的意思。

第四句：you can’t have it bothways 魚與熊掌不可兼得
英解：must choose one of two incompatible things這句片語是指人對許多事情的要求往往會顧此失彼，無法兩者兼顧，就如同中文所說的“魚與熊掌不可兼得”。

第五句：that’s the spirit 這就對了
英解：that’s the right attitude“Spirit”說這句話的時候通常是爲了對某人展現出的精神或態度表示讚許或激賞。

A：教練，我們要後來居上，反敗爲勝。

第六句：time will tell 時間會證明
英解：an outcome will reveal itself in time這句片語的意思，就是我們常聽人說的“時間會證明一切”，也就是在不確定事情發展結果的情況下，只好順其自然，留待時間來證明吧！
