兔子也是復活節的象徵。現在每逢復活節，美國大小糖果店總要出售用巧克力製成的復活節小兔和彩蛋。這些彩蛋小的和雞蛋差不多，大的竟有甜瓜那麼大，孩子們吃起來津津有味。送給親戚朋友，也不失爲上佳禮品。
復活節相關傳統習俗：活彩蛋蛋象徵新生命。堅硬的蛋殼無法限制裏面正在孕育的新生命。耶穌基督爲了我們的罪而釘死在十字架上，葬在墳墓裏，但墳墓無法關住他。他第三天覆活了，使凡相信他的人，因此而得到新的生命。蛋，便成爲復活節常用的象徵物之一。蛋乃意味着春天的到來及新生命的誕生，並象徵着耶穌從死裏復活走出石墓。
