The best basketball player on the planet may opt out of the final year of his three-year, $100 million deal with the Cavaliers, and thus becoming a free agent July 1. "Where will LeBron play next season?" may edge out "Can anyone beat the Warriors?" as the NBA’s great parlor game question of 2018.

A Philadelphia-based company put up billboards on highway to downtown Cleveland this morning saying that philly wanted LeBron. One sports the hashtag "Philly Wants LeBron" in red, white and blue lettering. Another reads, in the same colors, "Complete the Process."

Cleveland companies have responded to the Philadelphia company by putting up their own billboard. It says "HEY PHILLY" and "#TheLandOfTheKing," along with a giant crown that’s shaped to look like it’s flipping off the city of Philadelphia.

After the attempts by Philadelphia and Cleveland, a Lakers fan took it upon himself to try and recruit the four-time NBA Most Valuable Player. The fan purchased three billboards that went up Wednesday in Los Angeles. The billboards feature the hashtag #LABron while taking a shot at Cleveland and Philly. Underneath the hashtag is the caption, "Cleveland & Philly, You Can't Compete with L.A." Another says "Forget The Process, we win banners."

A couple of Houston fans posted photos of them wearing custom made Lebron James Rockets jerseys. With Lebron's nickname "King James" and his number on them, the jerseys also have two sleeves with "Recruiting The King" and "Strive For Houston on each, as the latter honors Lebron's famous personal hashtag "Strive For Greatness".

The post even received a like from Rockets star, one of Lebron's closest friends Chris Paul, making people wonder whether the two stars' relationship will factor in their free agency decisions.

While billboards are put up and jerseys are made, Lebron James' symbolic poster still hangs in downtown Cleveland, not Philadelphia, nor Houston, nor LA. "I've still got too much work to do here," James said, referring to the Cavs' current season.
