A: I can’t believe what Steven did! He came to my dinner party wearing jeans, and started some conversations that were quite uncultured.
B: I know his comments were out of line, but give him a chance He just moved here from countryside. I’m sure he is just a diamond in the rough. When he gets used to being with us, he’ll become more polished.
A: 我簡直不敢相信Steven做的事兒!他穿着牛仔褲來參加我的晚宴，談起話來那麼沒文化。

【語言點精講】
uncultured: 沒有教養的。
out of line: 形容人說話或行爲不符合普遍接受的行爲標準。
a diamond in the rough: 未經雕鑿的原鑽。形容某人具備好的特質，但是還不夠老練。
polished: 有教養的。
