如今在職場上，特別是外企，碰到一兩個老外同事太正常了。
那麼，和他們交流，你可要留心了。雖然都說老外很直接，但不要忘了，他們也很擅長顯得很彬彬有禮。職場上，老外們將這兩種特質融合在一起，就產生一種特殊的化學反應：那就是常常話裏有話，弦外有音。
比如，老外說 Quite good，你是不是歡欣鼓舞地認爲人家在表揚你呢？
但是，對不起哦，他們內心一點喜歡的小火花都沒有，真正的意思是A bit disappointing… 有點小失望呢……

#1 Very Interesting
Very interesting 算是入門級別的了。
如果你聽老外這麼說，千萬不要以爲你的想法真讓老外眼冒金星，對你刮目相看。
話外音正解--
老外說very interesting的時候，可不是真的覺得有意思，他們的內心戲大概如下圖表情包，翻着白眼，一臉嫌棄。
所以，如果你聽到老外說“因吹斯汀”，那一定暗藏 “呵呵” 的神韻。真實的意思是：YOU’RE BORING ME TO DEATH! 無聊透頂。

#2 With the greatest respect
“With the greatest respect” 或 “with all due respect” 一般出現在商務郵件裏，看起來是個溫婉體貼的詞。
但如果老外真動用這句話，那麼，情況可以說是相當的不妙了。比如：
With the greatest respect, could we consider some other options? I would implement only some minor changes..
恕我冒昧，我們還有其他方案嗎？我想要做些小修改。
話外音正解--
你可不要以爲老外此刻內心還和表面一樣溫和。
他們的內心早已火冒三丈，唸叨的臺詞是 You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about！（真不知道你們在瞎逼逼啥！）
所以，上面那段郵件，他們真正想說的是：
I Don't like your idea. I think you are all idiot and I would change it competlely!
我不喜歡你麼的想法。你們都是傻瓜，我要全部改掉。

#3 I'm sure it's my fault / No harm done
有時候，對於老外的客氣和禮貌，我們還真得仔細辨別。
如果老外主動承擔責任，忙不迭地說讓你不要擔心。你要小心了，老外內心是另外一幅風景。
比如：
你和老外主管一起外出拜訪某客戶，但發現你們漏帶了重要的宣傳文案，於是老外主管說了句：Don't worry. I'm sure it's my fault.
你以爲他是在安慰你？
那真too young, too naive啦。
話外音正解 --
老外只是紳士感發作。他們表面維持一副彬彬有禮的態度，但內心的真實想法是：
It’s your fault and we both know it. You caused complete and utter chaos.
這是你的錯，我們都心知肚明。就是你搞出的幺蛾子。

#4 That's a rather unusual story, isn't it?
如果你聽到老外用 isn't it 這樣的反問語句，那麼你要注意了，這是老外內心diss你的表現。比如：
你： I heard that Jessie has quit the job because she doesn't get along with colleagues.
我聽說Jessie離職了，好像是因爲她和同事合不來。
老外：That's a rather unusual story, isn't it?
哦，還真是不常見，是吧？

老外可能已經知道Jessie離職的真正原因是被你排擠的。他只是表面上不動聲色，輕描淡寫地說一句：That's a rather unusual story, isn't it?
但他內心的潛臺詞卻是：
You are a liar！I know she left because of you！
你是個騙子。我知道她是因爲你離開的。

# 5 Your English is somewhat unorthodox
你去某外企去應聘某份工作，老外面試官最後淡淡地說了句：
I‘m afraid your English is somewhat unorthodox for this job.
抱歉，你的英語對於這份工作來說有點太不正統。
話外音正解 --
他們冠冕堂皇的話裏暗藏的意思是：就這破英語，還想過來應聘我們工作！
此刻他們的心理，大概如酒館的老闆，一副“小二送客”的腔調。

#6 CC / FYI
查郵箱的時候，常常收到CC你的郵件；或者某些郵件總帶上 FYI 這三個字母。
收到這麼多郵件，千萬不要自我感覺太良好，把自己太當回事，以爲日理萬機，很多事情等着你處理。
話外音正解 --
CC的意思是 carbon copy, FYI是 For your information 的縮寫，兩者都是差不多的功能，意思是：
這些事情都和你關係不大，你看看知道就好。
下面，再給大家看兩個老外心口不一的例子。
你：How are things going?一切都還好吧？
老外：I’m in a bit of a pickle.. 我最近有點小麻煩..

I’m in a catastrophic situation with possibly fatal consequences!!
