外媒稱世界工廠時代已經過去 中國正成爲世界消費者

It's way past time to stop calling China the world's factory. The country is increasingly the world's consumer.

將中國稱爲世界工廠早已不合時宜。我國正日漸成爲世界消費者。

According to the latest official data, China's final consumption accounted for 63.4% of gross domestic product.

最新官方數據顯示,中國最終消費佔國內生產總值的63.4%。

Household consumption experienced exponential growth and climbed to $4.5 trillion. Retails sales have been growing at healthy pace of about 10%.

家庭消費出現迅猛增長,增至4.5萬億美元。零售銷售額以約10%的增速穩步上升。

Chinese consumers are becoming older and richer, generating an upgrade in the products they purchase.

中國消費者已越來越成熟也越來越富裕,其購買的產品也在不斷升級。

First, there has already been a shift from necessities to choice goods.

首先,人們已從購買生活必需品轉向購買精品。

Second, low-end mass products are out and high-end premium brands are in.

其二,低端的大衆商品正退出市場,而高端的品牌產品正在涌入。

And third, consumers will spend less on a relative basis on physical goods and more on experiences and services, including health care, box office, education, concerts, financial planning and tourism (both domestic and overseas).

其三,消費者將相對減少對有形商品的支出,而增加體驗和服務方面的支出,包括醫療保健、票房、教育、音樂會、財務規劃和國內外旅遊。

As China's expansion increasingly depends on consumption, its growth will be more internally driven.

隨着中國的發展越來越依賴消費,其增長將越來越受到內在的驅動。
