Todd: Norm, do you like to sing?

託德：諾曼，你喜歡唱歌嗎？

Norm: I wish I could sing, but no, I don't sing.

諾曼：我希望我會唱歌，可是不，我不會唱。

Todd: Yeah, OK. Neither do I. Do you like dancing?

託德：嗯，好的。我也不會。那你喜歡跳舞嗎？

Norm: Yes, I do.

諾曼：是的，我喜歡。

Todd: OK. kind of dancing do you like?

託德：好的。嗯……你喜歡跳什麼類型的舞？

Norm: Oh, just not ballroom dancing, but just the ordinary one, you know, the just kind of just ing special.

諾曼：哦，只要不是交際舞，就只是普通的舞蹈，你知道，就是那種普通的，沒什麼特別的。

Todd: Nothing special, no. OK. Do you like to cook?

託德：沒什麼特別的。好吧。那你喜歡烹飪嗎？

Norm: Yes, I do.

諾曼：是的，我喜歡。

Todd: OK. What, what do you like to cook?

託德：好的。你喜歡烹飪什麼美食？

Norm: I like to cook vegetables, yeah. Vegetables! OK.

諾曼：我喜歡烹調蔬菜。蔬菜！

Todd: And do you like to exercise?

託德：那你喜歡鍛鍊嗎？

Norm: Very much so I go, I used to go to the gym three times a week before I arrived in Tokyo.

諾曼：我經常去鍛鍊，在我來東京以前，我一週去三次健身房。

Todd: OK.

託德：好的。

Norm: Yeah, I used to go to a gym, but now I just run.

諾曼：對，我過去常去健身房，但我現在只跑步。

Todd: Last one! Do you like to clean?

託德：最後一個問題！你喜歡打掃嗎？

Norm: I like a clean place, but I don't really like to clean, no!

諾曼：我喜歡整潔的地方，但是我真的不喜歡打掃，不喜歡！

重點講解：
1. Neither do I.
表示現實情況的否定。前面一句爲否定句。表示我也沒有，我也不那樣
eg. I do not like to drink this medicine, neither does he.
我不愛喝這藥水，他也不愛喝。
eg. You don't like this book. Neither do I.
你不喜歡這本書，我也不喜歡。
2. used to do
過去常常；過去曾
eg. People used to come and visit him every day.
人們過去每天都來拜訪他。
eg. He used to be one of the professors at the School of Education.
他曾是教育學院的一名教授。
eg. I feel more compassion and less anger than I used to.
我覺得自己比過去多了些同情，少了些怒氣。
