實用口語:如何說"多努力一點"
有些時候成功就是在你準備放棄的那一刻，如果再堅持一下下，你就是成功者了；可是往往我們就是在最後的那一刻，選擇了放棄，於是與成功失之交臂，甚是可惜！God help those who help themselves!

記得要參加工作的時候，我爸就對我說：“工作中別太計較得失，只要你努力實實在在，會有人賞識你的，是金子都會發光，一定要比別人努力。”說實話，當時聽了我爸的話，不是非常的理解，現在出來工作2年了，發現只要實實在在把工作做好，比別人多努力點，成功離我們就不再遙遠！
To do your duty is not enough. You must go the extra mile.
只滿足於分內是不夠的，你必須多做一點點。
to go the extra mile means to try a little harder in order to achieve something, after you have already used a lot of effort.
片語"to go the extra mile"源出《聖經·馬太福音》第五章“山頂佈道”。耶穌勸告門徒："Whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain."（有人強逼你走一里路，你就同他走二里。）當時，以色列人被羅馬統治，只要羅馬士兵下令，以色列人就必須給羅馬人擡着東西走一英里。針對這種情況，耶穌發表了上述言語，勸誡衆人要忍辱、行善，甚至是用愛來回應敵人的恨。
如今，"to go the extra mile"的宗教意義已漸行漸遠。現常用來形容“除了份內活兒，還幹額外的事。” 看下面兩個例句：
It wasn't the fact that the man was an extraordinary stenographer that got her attention. It was his personal initiative in going the extra mile.
他之所以吸引她，並非是他的速記能力，而是他喜歡付出的進取心。
A: Nobody will ever believe anything I say again.
A：不會有人再相信我所說的任何話了！
B: In that case, you have to go the extra mile to prove your credibility.
