Big Little Lies might not be back for a third season according to one of it's biggest stars.

Nicole Kidman painted a bleak picture of the future of the hit HBO series - which also stars Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern and Zoe Kravitz - in a new interview with Variety.

The 51-year-old actress was recently dubbed Variety's Show Woman of the Year and opened up about her storied career.

After the insane success of the first season of Big Little Lies, which was only slated to be a miniseries, the ladies of Monterey decided to return for a second run.

However, when asked if the star studded cast would be back for a third time, Kidman seemed apprehensive.

'I think it would be hard to get the whole group together,' the actress told Variety. 'But we would love to do it.'

Kidman told the living legend actually emailed she and Reese Witherspoon after the Golden Globes.
