【語言點精講】
green thumb: 指一個人在園藝或種植方面有熱情、有才幹。
what one’s into: 用來指某人的愛好、嗜好。
know-how: 訣竅;實際知識;專門技能。
tend to: 這裏指養(花等)。
claim: 聲稱，宣稱。

A: Mark’s really on the ball when it comes to work.
B: Yeah, he’s really got the goods. Since he’s been before here for a long time, he knows the procedures.
A: He sure does know the ropes around here.
B: And, he knows all the tricks to get what he wants.
A: Mark對工作很有一套。
B: 他的確很在行。他來好久了，很瞭解做事的程序。

【語言點精講】
on the ball: 通常指一個人手中有很多要做的事，處於一種很忙碌的狀態，但是忙得井井有條。
the goods:在口語中可以用來指真正的貨物，也可以用來代指information。說某人get the goods，是指這個人對某事很在行，肚子裏很有貨。這是一種比較不禮貌的俚語用法。
know the ropes: 知道事情的真相(或竅門，做法，規則);熟悉(某種社會的)內情;懂得(某種行業的)竅門;很內行。
procedure: 步驟，程序。
trick: 訣竅，竅門。
