Pick up的常用表達：

1、買東西
Hector's picking up lunch for everyone. Make sure you tell him what you want.
Hector在給大家買午餐。記得要告訴他你們想要的東西。
Shoot! I forgot the salad dressing. I'll need to go back and pick up a bottle.
哎呀！我忘記買沙拉調料了。我得回去買一瓶。

*句中的 shoot 就是髒話 shit 的文明版說法。
*salad dressing = 沙拉調料

2、接電話
Are you going to pick up the phone? It's ringing.
你要去接電話嗎？電話響了。
Carey won't pick up or return my texts. I don't know what she's doing.
Carey不會接我電話，也不會回覆我信息。我不知道她現在在做什麼。

3、接某人
I'm on my way to the airport. I got to pick up Jeremy. He's back from Scotland today.
我正在去機場的路上。我得去接Jeremy。他今天從蘇格蘭回來。
Thanks, but I already have a ride. My friend's picking me up. She should be here soon.
謝謝，不過已經有人來接我了。我朋友正開車過來接我。她應該很快就到了。

4、繼續
Shall we pick up where we left off last time?
我們從上次結束的地方繼續怎麼樣？

We ran out of time today so the professor will pick up the lecture on Friday.

5、搭訕，跟陌生異性調情
