[正] Man, different from other animals, is a rational being.

注：我們平常所說的“動物”是狹義的，不包括人，而且把人稱作動物無異於在罵人。但英語的 animal 卻是廣義的，包括人，所以上面的句子應該加 other 才嚴謹、正確。
