 同是“約會”，有啥區別？

 在職場上，很多時候談事情，要約着一起談，於是，“約會” 就成了一種常態。 要約會，肯定要寫郵件吧，然鵝，在約會郵件中，稍不注意，你可能會暴露你英語不好的事實哦。 在英語中，“約會” 有兩種說法，分別叫 “date” 和 “appointment”，但是這兩個詞適用的場合卻非常不一樣。 1. 具體來說，appointment 主要用在工作環境中，比如和客戶約談的會，和醫生定的約。 只有這類 “約會” 纔可以用appointment 這個詞。 通常的動詞搭配有：keep, make, cancel, postpone, have，比如： I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow at 2 PM.
明天下午兩點，我約了醫生。
We need to make an appointment with the manager to go through the plans.
我們要和經理約見面，一起談下這些方案。 2. 而 date 其實呢，是用作兩性關係的那種約會，是戀人間用的詞。 比如 blind date 就是相親的意思。再比如： My wife and I went to the movies on our first date.
我和老婆第一次約會的時候，看了場電影。 如果不涉及戀愛關係的話，一般指的是家人之間的約會。比如： I have a special date with my nephew this weekend. I haven’t seen him in ages and it will be good to catch up.
