韓國前獨裁者朴正熙的女朴槿惠當選爲韓國第一位女總統
Park Geun-hye has won Wednesday's presidential election in South Korea and will become the country's first female head of state.
朴槿惠贏得韓國星期三的總統大選，成爲韓國曆史上第一位國家女領導人。Her rival, Moon Jae-in, conceded the race shortly after the National Election Commission was quoted as saying the conservative Ms. Park was a certain winner.
朴槿惠的競選對手文在寅在全國選舉委員會宣佈保守派的朴槿惠確定當選之後不久承認敗選。Ms. Park, 60 years old, is a five-term lawmaker and a daughter of former South Korean dictator Park Chung-hee.
今年60歲的朴槿惠擔任過五任國會議員，是韓國前獨裁者朴正熙的女兒。
She ran a tight race against her liberal rival, a human-rights lawyer who was once jailed under the administration run by Ms. Park's father.
朴槿惠在這場選舉中和自由派候選人文在寅進行了激烈的角逐。文在寅是人權律師，在朴槿惠的父親獨裁的時期坐過牢。Despite frigid winter weather Wednesday, voters bundled up and turned out in long lines across the country, surpassing the turnout of the previous two presidential elections.
