時下火爆熒屏的“穿越劇”就是time-travel TV series，穿越劇是以人物穿越時空爲線索的電視劇，許多穿越劇都改編自hot online novels（熱門網絡小說）。上文報道中的熱門電視劇《步步驚心》的所改編自的原著就是Internet writer（網絡作家）創作的time-travel novel（穿越小說）。
