山東動物園上演“虎毒食子” 三老虎兇殘咬死幼虎
These horrific images show three young tigers killing and feeding on a young cub at a safari park in eastern China, apparently because they had not been properly fed.
上面這張可怕的圖片，說的正是中國東部一動物園中三隻老虎殘殺吞食幼崽的故事，這顯然是因餵養不到位，老虎很飢餓所造成的。The shocking photos of Siberian tigers eating a rare white Bengal cub were taken by visitors touring the wildlife park in Rongcheng, Shandong province.
該圖是遊覽山山東榮成野生動物園時，一名遊客拍下的可怕瞬間。圖中三隻西伯利亞虎正在殘殺一隻孟加拉虎幼崽。'At first we thought they were playing but then they got the cub on the floor,' said an appalled onlooker.
震驚的目擊者稱：“一開始我們以爲它們只是在玩，沒想到它們把幼虎按倒在地。”
'Then while two of them pulled at its legs, the other bit into its neck. From then on the poor thing was food as far as they were concerned.’
“接着，兩隻西伯利亞虎開始拖拽幼虎的四肢，另一隻則咬住了幼虎的脖子。那時起，可憐的幼虎就只是它們的食物了。”'We couldn't see any meat anywhere and they looked like they were hungry. It was shocking.'
“周圍並沒有任何食物，它們看起來似乎是餓壞了。這一切都太嚇人了。”Zoo officials have denied claims that the young tigers turned on the cub because they hadn't been fed.
成年虎因爲餵養不善，纔會吞食幼虎。對此結論，動物園的負責人予以否認。A spokesman said: 'Young big cats practice their hunting skills all the time and we think that's what happened here.
發言人表示：“成熟的大型貓科動物都會自發地訓練其捕食能力，而捕食幼虎只是恰好在那種情況下發生。”'It's a terrible tragedy as both these breeds are endangered in the wild.'

西伯利亞虎是地球上最大的貓科動物，通常不會與世界上其他任何一種虎類發生接觸。If a rogue tiger invaded its territory, it would have no hesitation in attacking, but it would normally eat other large animals.
如果是這隻調皮的幼崽侵入對方的領地，那麼西伯利亞虎則會毫不猶豫地發起攻擊。通常，他們也會捕食其他的大型動物。Siberian tigers will scavenge a tiger carcass if sufficiently hungry, but do not like the taste of carnivores' meat, especially that of their own kind.
西伯利亞虎要是餓極了，會把虎屍吃得一乾二淨，但是它們並不喜好食肉動物的屍體，特別是與它們同種的其他老虎。The Siberian male has been known to kill the cubs of others, but this is generally to bring the mother into heat and mate with her. The cubs are only eaten because in nature nothing goes wasted.
西伯利亞雄虎曾以捕食幼虎出名，但是通常是爲了吸引母虎發情與它交配纔會這麼做。自然界弱肉強食的法則註定幼虎是唯一會被捕食的對象。
