在商務信函中,要注意單詞“offer”的正確使用。

“offer” vt.報盤,報價;給予,提供vi.報盤,報價。相關詞組有“offer sb. sth.”報給某人某種商品的價格。如:

Please offer us 2,000 yards each of the following designs FOB Shanghai.

(請報以下花樣各兩千碼的上海船上交貨價。)

在詢盤英文,這兩個詞在提出詢問和請求的商務信函中常常使用。“would”是指對方做某一件 事的意願,“could”是指對方做某一件事的能力。一般來說,如果您肯定對方有能力 滿足您的請求時,就可以使用“would”。但當您不肯定對方是否有這種能力時,或者 請求對方給予特殊的幫助時,就應該使用“could”。“could”比“would”顯得更有禮貌, 但切忌濫用。
