Beijing's Chaoyang district government announced on Wednesday night that the authorities have investigated the water quality in the Dougezhuang area where a number of residents reported experiencing acute gastro-enteritis and discovered it was caused by multifactorial comprehensive contamination. The investigation group composed of experts on epidemic diseases, water quality and the environment released their results, saying water quality in the area has reached national drinking water standards.

週三晚上，北京市朝陽區政府發佈情況通報稱，北京市豆各莊地區部分居民出現急性胃腸炎情況，有關部門已對水質進行調查，目前確定急性胃腸炎可能由綜合污染因素感染所致。由流行病、水質、環境等方面的專家組成的調查小組展開調查，檢測結果顯示水質符合國家生活飲用水衛生標準。

通報稱，專家組認爲，急性胃腸炎（acute gastro-enteritis）爲綜合污染因素感染所致的可能性較大。
專家組開展了流行病學調查（epidemiological investigation）、水樣檢測（water sample examination）等相關工作。
同時，在調查中發現，小區及周邊環境存在衛生隱患（health hazards），部分小區（residential communities）水箱（water tank）存在管理不規範（irregular management）現象。爲保證居民用水安全，專家組建議儘快（as soon as possible）對小區水箱進行全面清洗。
7月12日晚，接到羣衆反映（public reports）北京市朝陽區豆各莊地區部分小區居民出現腹瀉（diarrhea）情況後，疾控部門即刻組織專家和專業人士開展流行病學調查、採樣和分析論證。
截至7月14日20時，調查了到醫院就診的49人、自述有症狀（symptoms）未就診的105人，並採集了肛拭子和便標本（stool specimens）105件，已檢測79件，其中，52件檢測出諾如病毒（norovirus）。
諾如病毒具有高度傳染性（highly contagious），主要通過污染的食物、水（contaminated food or water）傳播，或被污染的物體表面（contaminated surfaces）傳播。
