劇情講述了大部分變種人達成共識後，開始商量營救洛娜和裏德的方式。
裏德在獄中，向洛娜坦白了一切，併爲之前自己的所作所爲表示慚愧。而洛娜默默地接受了與他結盟的事……

1、fall back
短語：
fall back是後退，對方因被擊敗而退卻的意思。
fall back on 退守,退卻到…;求助於,轉而依靠…
例句：

2、
He has her support to fall back on when the going gets tough.
他在進展困難的時候可以求助於她。
2、pull strings
短語：
pull strings有在幕後牽線，暗中操縱，從事幕後活動的意思。
pull是拉的意思，string是繩子的意思。pull strings連在一起，就是通過重要人物，在幕後操意思。
pull the strings這個習慣用語出現於十九世紀下半葉，最初是指操縱木偶，因爲操縱木偶的人可以讓木偶按照他人的意志行事。
例句：

如果你想見我們的老闆，我可以暗中幫忙。

3、mess with
短語：
mess with一般的意思是打擾，與...廝混。
